Drake was busy this weekend, the 6 God released 3 new tracks on the Beats 1 OVO Radio Show. The most notable was "Charged Up", his sorta acknowledgment/subtle diss to Meek Mill, but the other of note is "Hotline Bling", basically Drake's reinvision of the homie D.R.A.M.'s monster hit "I Like to Cha Cha", whaaaaaaatttt! The "Cha Cha" is taking over!!! Not much of a remix like the cover art suggests but a fresh new song with the usual Drake rap/sing combo. What do you think?

They do it again! Disclosure and Sam Smith release "Omen" a follow up to their 2012 release of "Latch"; that's crazy it's been a whole 3 years since "Latch" was actually released. This sounds like another monster hit; Disclosure provides a perfect electro pop track for the English crooner's smooth soulful tone. Disclosure second effort is slated to drop Sept. 25th.

I didn't like this song when this first came out, but the more I listened to it and when I heard it in clubs, I actually started to dig it. I'm not crazy bout ILoveMakonnen and it's not Carnage's best production, but that hook is just infectious. Lil' Wayne and G-Eazy bless the remix with some new verses.

The 757 homies put on for the area with a banger called "50/50" actually produced by D.R.A.M. himself. Perfect follow up after the equally sick "SuperLit", these guys have a chemistry with each other. Big things coming up for the hometown boys! On repeat.

This track is my ish right now, I'm so in love with it, such a perfect summer pop song! Loved the song when I first heard it and now the video is sick, just absolutely perfect for the song. Demi looks gorgeous, sexy, and sweaty, definitely not cool for the summer. I always liked Demi out of all the current pop stars because she's one of the ones that can actually belt. I hope this one takes off as much as I love it and takes her to the next level of pop super stardom. Definitely a must see.
So the song is finally growing on me over some time and the video for "Freedom" makes me appreciate it even more. The video touches on racism and social injustices around the world. Heavy stuff man, but catchy Pharrell, I got all the feels right now.

I'll just leave this here. This is their year and we are only half way through. So much fire!
