This is my jam! The video though, I have no idea what's going on, it's like a post apocalyptic future. They are in an abandoned warehouse and there's a hot girl roaming around, and everyone's driving Mad Max cars. I will probably never watch this video again and waste 5 minutes of my life, but the song is so dope that it doesn't even matter.
What So Not - Gemini EP (Full Stream)
I've never listened to What So Not before. Then I found out that What So Not is a duo with Flume, and now Flume isn't apart of What So Not, but What So Not dropped a new EP called "Gemini" with Flume co-producing; it's a lot to keep up with. Regardless I've finally hit play on the OWSLA artist and I'm so glad I did. What So Not is down to one member, Emoh Instead; but "Gemini" is their last collaborative body of work. Dope from start to finish. Free download too.
Sam Smith - Lay Me Down (Flume Remix)
Flume is nuts. He completely reworks Sam Smith's current single "Lay Me Down" into a imaginative futuristic melodic track. Flume flips the track completely upside down maintaining one verse and a chorus but other than that this is a brand new song with a brand new feel. Took me a couple listens but I dig it.
Video: Prism Surf - Lone Ranger
I just can't get enough of both this song and this video, it just blows my mind how dope everything about "Lone Ranger" is. Prism Surf, made up of Virginia Beach's own theeKIDICARUS and London crooner Nicola Thoms, drop a Digital Thunderdome directed visual work of art to match their electronic/future soul single. I didn't know what I imagined when I first heard the song, but it's exactly this. This is honestly the first time I listened to them but I'm instantly hooked, I'm just so mad at myself because I'm so late to them. Their debut album "Fragile Beings" is on iTunes now!
Hudson Mohawke - Chimes (Remix) ft. Pusha T, Future, Travi$ Scott, and French Montana
Keeping up with that G.O.O.D. Music, Kanye's resident electronic producer Hudson Mohawke releases a vocal version of his trap banger "Chimes", featuring label mates Pusha T and Travi$ Scott, as well as Future and French Montana. I dug this as an instrumental but the addition of the hip hop verses just brings it to a whole another level. Play it with the bass all the way turnt!
