"The 20/20 Experience" was meh. After dropping "Justified" and "Future Sex/Love Sounds" which were absolute classics from beginning to end, his last 2 albums or complete set was a let down for how long we went without music from the King. I felt that music evolved since Justin took his musical hiatus; I love Timbaland to death, but I felt his beats didn't evolve as well. Now I heard JT is working on a new album and got me all gitty inside again. "Can't Stop the Feeling" kinda is a let down though, I understand it's a soundtrack song for a kids movie, but it's has that "Take Back the Night" feel, kinda early 90's feel good pop. I like the song, but I just have higher expectations for his music. Hopefully we get that new album sooner than later.
Dr. Dre - Compton (Cover Art)
Go cop that. Now on iTunes
Sam Smith - Lay Me Down (Flume Remix)
Flume is nuts. He completely reworks Sam Smith's current single "Lay Me Down" into a imaginative futuristic melodic track. Flume flips the track completely upside down maintaining one verse and a chorus but other than that this is a brand new song with a brand new feel. Took me a couple listens but I dig it.
Video: The Weeknd - Earned It
I'm pretty sure The Weeknd doesn't make bad anything, music, videos, decisions, lol. "Earned It" is the first song off the "Fifty Shades of Grey" Soundtrack. The video is actually directed by the film's director Sam-Taylor Johnson as well. The Weeknd also has another song on the soundtrack called "Where You Belong". "Fifty Shades of Grey" hits theaters next Friday.

N.E.R.D. - Squeeze Me
It's been since 2010 since we heard any N.E.R.D; way too long from the 757 homies! Off The Spongebob Movie Soundtrack, "Squeeze Me" is an upbeat and uptempo harmonic track that is just a feel good track from the trio. Not quite "Happy" but along the same lines, perfect for a Nickelodeon flick. Not what I was hoping for but I'll take any new music from Pharrell, Chad, and Shay.
